Edith White, 86, of 35 Champlain Ave, Cuba, formerly of Wallkill, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 18th 2015 at Cuba Memorial Hospital.
Edith was born December 15, 1929 in Ottawa, Canada. She was one of seven children. She attended Eastern Nazarene College.

| She married the love of her life, Donald, on August 29, 1953. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage, and were devoted to each other. She is survived by her husband, as well as two sons: Stephen (Anna) White, and John (Annette) White. In addition, she was a devoted grandmother to Meredith (John) White Martin, Brianne (Jordan) Danaher, Andy (Rebekah) White, and Joe White, and a very proud great grandmother to Abigail Laine Martin, Claire Marie Martin, and Brooke Edith Danaher.
Edith loved people. She enjoyed chatting with everyone, and no one was a stranger to her. She was kind and generous to all she knew and met along life’s way. She had a wonderful sense of humor and compassion.
She was a member of New Paltz Church of the Nazarene, and more recently attended Cuba First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Cuba Senior Citizens.
At her request, her eyes were donated to UNYTS, and her body to University of Buffalo Medical School. There will be a memorial service in New Paltz at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Edith’s name to Cuba First Baptist Church, New Paltz Church of the Nazarene, or to any charity of donor’s choice.
