Douglas R. Comstock, 68, of 6523 County Rte. 17, Belfast passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 23, 2016 at home.
Born on March 5, 1948, in Cuba, he was a son of Robert and Esther Benjamin Comstock.
Doug was a graduate of Belfast Central School Class of 1968.

He was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was an avid ATV rider, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In retirement he continued working his land selling hay.
Surviving are his longtime loving companion Rose Ely of Belfast; three sons, Scott (Laurel) Comstock, Brett (Karen) Comstock, and Chad Comstock all of Belfast; his grandchildren Ashlyn, Rylea, Kyle, Alea, Brianna, and Colton;
four sisters, Beverly Comstock of Belfast, Kay Comstock of Belmont, Nancy (Thomas) Lowe of New Hampshire, and Robin (Douglas) Harrison of Belfast; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
The family will receive friends at the Belfast Town Hall, 9 Merton Ave, Belfast, NY 14711, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 1-4 P.M. A luncheon will be served.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial's in his name be made to the Belfast Fire District Rescue Squad, 9 Merton Ave., P.O. Box 483, Belfast, NY 14711.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
