Dorothy M. Milliken Clark
Mother of Five Generations
Dorothy M. Milliken-Clark, 91, of 17 Windsor St., Cuba, passed away Thursday (Dec. 29, 2016) at Olean General Hospital.

Born on May 8, 1925, in New Albion, she was a daughter of Theodore and Anna Ellison Milliken. On Oct. 31, 1941, in Belmont, she married Lyle “Harry” Clark, who predeceased her May 11, 2000.

Dorothy was a 1970 graduate of Hornell School of Practical Nursing. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for Cuba Memorial and Jones Memorial hospitals, as well as for Highland Healthcare of Wellsville, prior to her retirement.

Together with her beloved husband, they owned and operated Clark’s Grocery and Service Station in Bolivar and the Keystone Service Station and Quaker State Service Station in Cuba. They also had a successful paper delivery route for the Buffalo Courier Express and The Buffalo News, delivering throughout Allegany and Cattaraugus counties.

She was a lifetime member of the Cuba VFW Post No. 2721 Auxiliary and the Cuba American Legion Post No. 655 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crocheting, genealogy and word search puzzles.

Surviving are six children, Barbara (Louie) Schiralli of Bolivar, Donald (Donna) Clark of Cuba, Diana (Paul) Young of Black Creek, Bonnie (Larry) Barber of Belmont, Gary (Darlene) Clark of Ocala, Fla., and Kelly (Elroy Jr.) Brickey of Cuba; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Milliken of Shinglehouse, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Francis, Richard and Harold Milliken; and a grandson, Daniel Clark, who died in infancy.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 2, 2017). The Rev. Richard Keel will officiate.

Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery, New Hudson.
