Donna E. Vogel, 59, of 6163 County Road 20, Friendship, passed away Saturday, June 07, 2014 following a lengthy illness.

Born on January 11, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a daughter of Robert E. and Alice M. Howell Broshar. She was married to Timothy Vogel.

Donna had been a nurse's aide for Southern Tier Home Health Care, Jan and Bev's Home Health Care, and Home Care and Hospice.. She had also worked as a waitress at the Hill Top in Bolivar, the Cozy Corner in Friendship and for Chris Higby.

She enjoyed breeding dogs and raising rare and unusual animals. She was the first person to raise a baby Lama in Allegany County. She worked on the family farm with her husband raising animals, which included veal in their beef barn. She also co-owned and operated a craft shop with her friend.

Surviving are her six children, Robert Skinner of Friendship, Terrie Skinner of Friendship, Hollie Skinner of Friendship, Shane (Heather) Vogel of Wellsville, Jessie (Lindsey) Vogel of Hornell, and Joshua Vogel of Wellsville; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Broshar of Bradford, PA, and Edward (Tracy) Broshar of Belfast whom Donna raised as a son; two sisters, Linda (Marvin) Bauer of Jacksonville, FL, and Tammy (John) Paddick of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held at on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Marc Chamberlain, pastor of the Genesis Bible Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery, Town of New Hudson.

Memorials may be made to the Allegany County 4-H Horse Program.
