Born on June 3, 1955, in the Cuba Hospital, she was a daughter of LaVerne and Julia Murphy Horton. On January 3, 1999, she married David Smith who survives.

She was a graduate of Hinsdale’s Central School in 1973. She worked at a Donut Shop, Burger King, Tops, Ponderosa, and last for Sprague’s Maple Farms, retiring due to illness.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Joshua (Katie) Horton of Cuba; 2 grandsons, Gabe Horton and Travis (Nicole) Harrier; great grandson Greyson and a great granddaughter, Addison; 5 sisters, Mary (Charles) Hitchcock, Judy Robbins, Elaine (Jerry) Holmes, Marilyn Prince and Jo (Thaddeaus) Coleman; a brother, Paul Horton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter Julia Horton, a brother LaVerne, and a sister Rose.
