Delores I. Wetherby
Beloved Mother, Aunt, and Friend
Delores I. Wetherby, 78, a resident of Eden Heights and formerly of 17 Champlain Ave., Cuba, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Cuba Memorial Hospital's Primary Care Unit after a lengthy illness.

Born on March 21, 1938, in Little Genesee, she was a daughter of Kenneth and Lillian Burfield Davis. On March 7, 1959, in Little Genesee she married James A. Wetherby who predeceased her on August 6, 2014.

Delores was a graduate of Bolivar Central School. For a short period of time she worked as a waitress at the former Kinney II and then she went to work as a secretary at Cuba Cheese until her retirement.

She was a member of the Cuba VFW Post 2721 Auxiliary and Cuba American Legion Post 655 Auxiliary. She liked playing cards, bowling in her younger days, traveling with her husband, her Ipad, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are Amy (Tracy) Wood of Cuba, and Lynn Wetherby of Wellsville; one brother, Dale (Carol) Davis of Bolivar; one sister, Betty Brandel of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother Kenneth Davis; a sister Patricia Skinner and her husband Kenneth Skinner who was like a brother.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Claudia Little, a close personal friend, will officiate.

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
