David M. Swift passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 15, 2024 surrounded by friends in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He was born June 11, 1968 in Jamestown, NY to the late Linda (Swift) Dybeck who passed away April 17, 2021.
David was a graduate of Dunkirk High School Class of 1987.
Over the years he worked at the Caboose in Fredonia, NY, GEI, and drove the school bus for Laidlaw. His most recent employment was with Symphony Management, where he started as the Maintenance Supervisor in 2009 and was then promoted to Property Manager for the remainder of this employment.
He was a proud member of the DF. Anson Hose Company #3 and was a founding member of the Dive Team.
He also coached midget football along with enjoying hobbies such as bowling, golf, softball, wood working, cooking, life at the farm and mostly fishing with friends and cousins. You could always count on him to display his away game flag or home game flag outside his home. His passion for the Buffalo Bills beyond measure!
He was a Life Member of the Dunkirk Exempts and the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club. He was also a member of the First Ward Falcons, South Shore Rod and Gun Club, WWII Vets, and American Legion Post 62.
Those who knew David knew he had a larger-than-life personality and his laugh could be recognized a mile away.
