David J. Bell Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather

David J. Bell, 65, of 5 Pennsylvania Ave, Friendship, and formerly of Bishop Street, Cuba, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born on September 13, 1945, in Cuba, New York he was a son of Henry and Delores Wilson Bell. On December 31, 1964, in Hinsdale, New York, he married the former Dorothy J. Lockwood who predeceased him.

Mr. Bell worked in the maintenance department of Cuba Memorial Hospital prior to retiring.
He was a member of the Cuba Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed doing woodworking and crafts of all kinds. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his mother Dolores Ripple of Friendship are two sons, Timothy D. (Lori) Bell of Cuba, and
James T. Bell of Delevan; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Gary (Lorna) Ripple of Friendship, and Donald (Robin) Ripple of Portville;
three sisters Linda Bernard of Cuba, and Lori (Dean) Hathaway of Friendship, and Charlotte (Rob) Burrell of Short Tract; and
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother Richard Ripple and a sister Darlene Thompson.
At. Mr. Bell's request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Private family burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hinsdale Cemetery, Town of Maplehurst, New York.
