David A. Vogel, Sr. Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother

David A. Vogel, Sr., 65, of 6373 State Route 305, Black Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at home after a battle with cancer.
Born on November 2, 1950, in Cuba he was a son of Alva T. and Mary E. Silsby Vogel. On June 19, 1970, in Hunt, New York, he married the former Linda S. Cobin who predeceased him on June 5, 2010.

Dave attended Cuba High School. He then went to work for Friendship Dairies as a milk receiver retiring in 2010 after 43 years of service.
He was 46 year member of the New Hudson Fire Co., and avid hunter, but most off enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.
Surviving are two sons, David A. Vogel, Jr. of Black Creek, and Steven (Jennifer) Vogel of Marysville, OH; a daughter, Shelley (Rick) Learn of Black Creek; his grandchildren, Brooke Krannock, David A. Vogel III, Ricki Ranee Learn, Andrew Vogel, Courtney Learn, and Kayla Learn;
six great grandchildren; four brothers, Donald (Sue) Vogel of Belfast, Dennis Vogel of Massachusetts, Daren Vogel of Black Creek, and Daniel (Jen) Vogel of Hunt; one sister, Della (Dean) Warner of Angelica; his stepmother, Elsie Vogel of Belfast;
a brother-in-law, Charlie McAhon of Wellsville; a special aunt, Norma Vogel Andrus of Black Creek; and numerous, brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a grandson Derek Vogel and a sister Doris McAhon.
Family and Friends may gather at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Friday June 24, 2016 from 7-9 P.M. and on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. John Asquith, pastor of Black Creek Baptist Church will officiate.
Members of New Hudson Fire Company will assembly in the funeral home Saturday at 11:00 to conduct funeral honors.
