Daniel K. Corwin
Devoted Husband Father, and Grandfather
DANIEL K. CORWIN - Daniel K. Corwin, 71, of Orchard Park, NY passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer Dec 31, 2018, at Hospice of Buffalo, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Aug. 13, 1947, in Olean, NY, the son of Keith and Agatha (Griffin) Corwin. Dan graduated from Oswayo Valley High School, 1965, and from Gannon University, Class of 1969, with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Management. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969, serving as an E5 in the 25th and 101st infantries in the Vietnam War from 1970-71. After returning from the war, he began an internship at Acme Electric Corporation that blossomed into a career as a Chief Financial Officer that lasted until 2003.

He married Monica Crowley on Jan 9, 1976, and they settled in Cuba, NY, where they lived with their two sons, Mike and Tim, until moving to Orchard Park in 1988, where he and his family made many great friends in their neighborhood.

In 2003 Dan joined Young & Franklin, Inc., in Liverpool, NY, retiring as President in 2016. While there, Dan became a fan of The Retreat where he and Monica made many wonderful friends that they traveled to parts of Europe and the US. Dan's favorite trip from the many countries he visited was to Ireland.

After retirement, wanting to return to Cuba Lake, he built his dream cabin overlooking the lake. It was another place to share good times with friends and family. Wherever Dan went, friends followed. He loved taking pictures and videos with his iPhone, and anyone visiting with him spent much of the evening looking at them. Of course, the first ones he showed were of his beautiful grandchildren, and of the trips he took, telling every detail of what he loved about them. Dan always put his family first, and was very loyal to his friends as well. He was generous, gracious and giving, and his favorite saying was "I hope I go out even!" Well Dan, you went out ahead!

Dan was a member of the VFW Post, and the American Legion.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by infant twin sons.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his sons, Michael Daniel Corwin of Orchard Park, and Timothy Patrick (Lauren) Corwin of West Seneca; three grandchildren, Griffin Daniel Corwin, Bennett WIlliam Corwin, and Addison Mae Corwin; three sisters, Sue (Robert) DeOliveira of Mobile, AL, Mary Jane (Leslie) Coburn of Virginia Beach, VA, and Teresa (Terry) Tuggle of Jeffersonville, IN; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc, 9 Bull St, Cuba, on Friday, Jan 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Angels Church, 50 South St, Cuba, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.
