Born on July 10, 1956, in Cuba, he was a son of Lemuel J. and Eleanor M. Ramsey Butts and was raised by his mother and step father Leonard Butler.

Dale was a graduate of Cuba Central School and then worked as a welder by trade most of his life. He also did property maintenance for Red Wakefield for several years.

He loved to hunt, fish, camp, work on cars, and was an avid sports fan with the Buffalo Bills being his favorite sports team. He also loved a good peanut butter sandwich.

He is survived by daughters, Christina (Alfred) Bishop of Roulette, PA and Dalelynn Butts of Phoenix, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Wayne Butts of Cuba and Steve Butts of Cincinnati, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Terry Butts and a sister Paula Guerieri.

A Celebration of Dales life will he held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the A.A. Arnold Community Center, 51 East Main Street, Cuba, New York 14727 beginning at 1:00 P.M.
