Carole Jean Lowe Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother

Carole Jean Lowe, 71, of 5703 School Street, Ischua, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born on March 1, 1943, in Highland Park, Michigan she was a daughter of Jack and Dorothy Hill Bell. On November 22, 1985, in Reno, Nevada she married Clifford E. Lowe who survives.

Carole was a graduate of Caro Michigan High School. She was employed by Acme Electric of Cuba as a laborer for 23 years retiring in 1998. She also sold Avon for many years. For the past ten years she and her husband have been caregivers for her mother.
She was a bingo inspector at the Ischua Vol. Fire Department, enjoyed playing bingo at local fire departments, going to the casino and loved riding her John Deere mower, taking great pride in her lawn. She also enjoyed the cruises that she and her husband took in previous years. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her mother, Dorothy of Ischua; her husband, Clifford of Ischua; two sons, Sheldon Gridley of Honolulu, Hawaii, and
Patrick (Terri) Gridley of Mechanicsburg, Pa; a daughter, Theresa (Conrad Howland) Lowe of Ischua; a brother, Derek Romain of Cass City, Michigan;
seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she was predeceased by her siblings James Romain, Michael Romain, and Marilyn Romain.
Friends will be received at the Ischua Union Church, Rte. 16, Ischua on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10-11 A.M. at which time a Memorial Service will be held. Rev. Beaty, will officiate.
Burial will be in Carpenter Hill Road Cemetery, Town of Ischua.
Memorial suggestions include the Ischua Vol. Fire Department, The Ischua Union Church, or the Cattaraugus County SPCA.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
