Bonita “Bonnie” H. Willard, 75, formerly of Portville and Olean, and most recently of 6760 Rawson Road, Lyndon, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Born on December 16, 1946, in Cuba, she was a daughter of Bernard and Louise Griffin Torpey.
Bonnie was a graduate of Portville Central School Class of 1965. She was a longtime employee of Bush Saw and Tool in Olean and later worked for Community Bank as an Indirect Loan Clerk retiring in 2009 due to illness.
She enjoyed crocheting, flower and vegetable gardening, and cooking.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Tina (Rob) Wilson of Lyndon and Sophia (Sara) Willard of Buffalo; 3 grandchildren, Jack Page, Hunter Wilson, and Riley Wilson; 5 sisters, Beverly VanCuren of Little Genesee, Barbara Abel of Pittsburgh, Joyce (Saverio) Gagliardo of Portville, Lorie (Chuck) Henton of Portville and Dorothy (Bruce) Kinney of Portville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters Louise Torpey and Bernilee “Bernie” Moore.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, on August 2, 2022 from 6-8 at which time funeral services will be held. Chaplin Terry Bush and a longtime friend of Bonnie’s will officiate.
Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, New York.
