Bernice R. “Bee” Mason Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother

Bernice R. "Bee" Mason, 89, of 11 Pennsylvania Ave, Friendship, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, September 29, 2014 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born on October 29, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of Bennie and Tillie Granick Weicher. On November 20, 1946 in Milwaukee she married Milton Mason who predeceased her on May 30, 2003.

She had been employed by Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company in Milwaukee prior to her retirement.
Bee was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church where she attended bible study and worship classes. She was also a member of Friendship's Red Hat Society. She was the "Queen Bee" of the family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her daughter, Joree (Joseph) Tavano of West Clarksville; her grandchildren, Darrell (Amy) Neal of Allegany, David (Deidra) Tavano of Portville, and Daniel (Denise) Tavano of Cuba; three grandsons; and several great and great great grandchildren;
three sisters, Shirley Weiner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Vi (Bob) Schneider of California, and Natalie (George) Russell of Minominie Falls, Wisconsin;
her longtime special friend Mike Gorman and his entire family; and her special angels at the Friendship Estates.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a grandson Dominic Tavano.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at the Cuba United Methodist Church on Tuesday October 7, 2014 from 10-11 A.M. at which time a memorial service will be held. The Rev. Timothy Gleason, pastor will officiate.
Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Home Care and Hospice of Olean.
