Barry L. Thompson, 65, of 6741 Habgood Road, Black Creek, passed away Friday, May 06, 2016 at Olean General Hospital after a short illness.
Born on December 1, 1950, in Cuba, he was a son of Raymond E. and Carrie Mae McMarty Thomspson. On October 3, 1969, in the Franklinville Presbyterian Church he married the former Judith I. Wheeler who survives.

| Barry served in the United States Army from 1967-69.
He had been employed by Cuba Cheese for many years before retiring.
He was a member of the Cuba American Legion, North American Hunting Club, and the National Rifle Association.
Barry enjoyed golfing, was an avid hunted and cherished time spent with his family.
Surviving are a son, Brian Thompson of Black Creek; a daughter, Rebecca Ingalls of Cuba; four grandchildren, Justin Clayson, Joshua Ingalls, Jacob Ingalls, and Kenneth Wise; seven brothers, Bill (Delores) Thompson of Rhode Island, Gary (Sandy) Thompson of Buffalo,
Joe (Bev) Thompson of Pennsylvania, Mike (Melinda) Thompson of Texas, Ray (Peggy) Thompson of South Carolina, Bob Rhodes of West Clarksville, Doug (Janet) Rhodes of Cuba, and five sisters, Gail Thompson of Cuba, Muril Thompson of Franklinville, Kelly Thompson of Franklinville,
Tracey (Jerry) Isman of Franklinville, and Colleen Thompson of Mt. Morris.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Barry Lynn Thompson, Jr., and a sister Ramona Thompson.
Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
