Anna V. Green, 93, of 4237 Rte. 305, Cuba, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 at Olean General
Born on May 23, 1932, in Black Creek, New York, she was a daughter of Henry B. and Ella Mae Wildrick VanFleet. On July 20, 1952, in Black Creek, she married Albert R. Green who predeceased her on February 10, 2016.
Anna was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1949. She later graduated with a secretarial degree from Westbrook Academy in Olean.
She had worked for the Cuba National Bank until her children were born.
Anna was a member and held multiple offices of the Cuba Grange #799, Pomona Grange, the New York State where she was last holding the office of Queen Mum, and the National Grange. She and her husband were also members of the Friendship Swingers Square Dancing Club.
She enjoyed crocheting and donating numerous baby booties to expectant mothers, baking cookies, watching wheel of fortune, big band music, bird watching, and her flowers, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Anna is survived by her children Gilbert (Claire) Green of Cuba, Gary (Diane) Green of Farmersville, Clara McGinnis of Cuba, Roger (Nancy) Green of Portville, Gordon (Donna) Green of Cuba, Bradley (Sally) Green of Cuba, and Sandra Green of Cuba; her grandchildren Chad (Kristy), Stephanie (Andy), Emily, Amanda (Daryl), Chris (Kelley), Alicia, Matthew, Michael, Alex (Elida) Katie (Jarrod) and Brandi; three step grandchildren Kerri, Jacqueline, and Nicole; eight great grandchildren Gabrielle, Mickelle, Joshua, Odin, Lennox, Jesse, Brianna, and Lynella; nine step great grandchildren Alexis, Keirsten, Kaitlynn, Sarah, Brock, Liam, Megan, Rebecca, John; two step great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also awaiting the arrival of twin great grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son-in-law Dale McGinnis, a grandson Nicholas Green, a great grandson Brandon and her siblings George VanFleet, Mary Swisher, Helen Burt, and Ruth Miller.
The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and again on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 11 at which time a funeral service will begin. The Rev. Thomas Lawton will officiate. Grange members will conduct services Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M.
Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery, Town of New Hudson, New York.
