|Alice A. Randall
Loving Mother, Grandmother,
Alice A. Randall, 85, of 2596 Rte 305, West Clarksville, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Jones Memorial Hospital after a short illness.|
Born on March 4, 1931, she was a daughter of Horace and Lena Crawford Powley. On December 28, 1957, at the Hinsdale Methodist Church, she married Richard W. Randall, her husband of 56 years, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2014.
|Alice had worked for the Olean Tile Plant for ten years and then went to work for AVX Ceramics in Olean until her retirement in 1993.
She will be remembered as a very generous person who had a big heart and always put others before herself. She loved going out to eat, spoiling her family, happy hours, juking with her husband, or just sitting around playing cards with friends. Country music was her favorite and she loved her trucks over the years. Knitting, cooking, shopping, and making wedding cakes were just a few things she was famous for.
Alice enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband, painting tropical murals, and the lush greenery of Palm Trees and plants.
Surviving are her children Brenda (James Kocher) Chesney of Cuba, David (Linda) Randall of Jamestown, and Richard W. Randall, Jr. of Florida; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son Larry Miller, and two brothers William and Richard Powley.
